A new moon in ambitious Capricorn on Sunday, January 2, encourages you to rethink communication methods. You have a stinger, Scorpio, and aren't afraid to use it. Because you lash out when you feel threatened, you're often unaware of how easily you can hurt others. This transit reminds you of the power of calm and mature communication. So, when your best friend asks you to go to a party that doesn't interest you, you can assertively say no. On this same date, Sunday, January 2, the messenger planet Mercury enters detached Aquarius, helping you communicate effectively without letting your emotions rule you.

Are you ready to get married or move in together? Maybe you're ready to break up. But whatever you want, Scorpio, please make sure that your romantic interest knows about it. When Aquarius season begins on Wednesday, January 19, you're able to take a page from the detached air sign's book and communicate rationally rather than solely with emotions. 

One of your ruling planets, the fighter planet Mars, enters strict Capricorn on Monday, January 24. This transit continues themes of communication. Mars rules divine masculine traits, which we all contain regardless of our gender. These include assertiveness and sexuality. As a result, by the end of the month, you're effectively communicating, especially with sexual partners, Scorpio. This sees you confidently asking for what you want in bed and setting boundaries. This Mars transit also helps you stand up for yourself at work while keeping your cool. Finally, Venus retrograde ends on Saturday, January 29.
