Cardi B and her husband Offset have made headlines several times over the span of their five-year relationship. We've seen them through make-ups and break-ups, the births of their two children, and lots of tattoos. Yes, tattoos. In 2019, the "Ric Flair Drip" rapper revealed that Cardi got his name tattooed on her upper thigh. Now, three years later, the pair is making headlines again for the matching body ink they tattooed on *each other* for Cardi Tries. 

Cardi Tries is a Facebook Watch series that challenges the rapper to complete random activities like a ballet lesson, creating a wig, and stunt driving. In the February 11 episode, the "Bodak Yellow" artist told her hubby she wanted to give him a tattoo for Valentine's Day. At the beginning of the video, Offset tells his wife that he is skeptical of her tattooing abilities: "I trust you, but baby, you don't know how to draw," he tells a visibly surprised Cardi. But once she reveals that he will be able to tattoo her and his tattooist, Nikko Hurtado, will be teaching them, Offset is immediately on board. 

The nearly sixteen-minute video follows the couple as they learn, from drawing on a piece of paper to tattooing a rubber arm. During their practice session, Cardi tells Hurtado that the pair were planning to get their wedding date — September 20, 2017 — inked for this session. We also get a few other fun tidbits about their first tattoo experiences. Offset reveals he first went under the needle at 16 and got his grandma's and mother's names on his arm. His mother was not happy about it. Cardi's first tattoo was the massive colorful peacock that decorates her back, hip, and thigh, which she says she paid for with her college financial aid check.

Once they've had enough practice, the two decide on "9.20.17" in a descending formation on their hand right above the thumb. Cardi goes first, to good results as she is praised by both her husband and Hurtado for her tattooing skills. She does not disagree. "Like, what can I not do? I can do everything," she says with a smile. "I could put my mind to something, and I can really do it. Like, it's over." Then, it's Offset's turn. While getting the ink done was clearly not a comfortable experience pain-wise (is it ever?) for either party, Cardi was quite vocal about what she was feeling, letting out some yelps during the process. But she makes it through, and in the end, the duo reveals their matching tattoos. We're not going to lie — they did pretty well for first-timers. 

Yeah, it's adorable and romantic. But most of all, it's entertaining as heck. Take a look at the whole thing for yourself in the video below.
