This Moisturizing Shampoo Saved My Bleached Hair

Throughout my life, I’ve always been one to experiment with different hair styles, cuts and colors, but this past week I decided to take the plunge and make the biggest change yet by dying my naturally brunette hair completely blonde. I’ve always had pretty oily hair—I could go days between washes and never really needed any products that added moisture or hydration since my hair was so naturally full of oil. But, after spending six hours in the hair salon getting my hair bleached blonde, I’ve already started to notice it becoming more dry and parched than it has ever been before. My stylist told me the most important thing for treating my newly colored hair was to give it some extra moisture, and the Saints & Sinners Velvet Divine Moisture Shampoo ($32) has been a life-saver for my freshly blonde mane. 

The Benefits: 

This shampoo was specifically formulated to hydrate and relieve chemically treated hair. What I love most about it is the fact that it moisturizes and adds shine and softness without making my hair feel heavy or greasy. As I mentioned, having naturally oily hair, it’s really easy for products to make my hair feel weighed down and greasy. But this shampoo manages to renew moisture into my freshly bleached hair without making me feel overly oily at the roots. 

I’m also super picky about scent, and the fragrance profile in this product is to die for. Between the notes of lavender and rose and the base scents of vanilla and musk, this shampoo is perfectly fragranced to make you smell fresh, luxurious and sensual without being too overpowering.

Another component of this shampoo that really sold me on it is the fact that the formula is SLS and SLES sulfate-free. Having newly bleached hair, the last thing I want to do is add more chemicals into my routine.
