This Highlighter Works Like a Vitamin Drip for Your Skin

Kosas is one of the buzziest skin-care brands on social media. The brand’s eye-catching packaging, attainable price points, wide shade ranges, and—most importantly—products that do what they say have made Kosas a leader of the pack. The brand’s most recent launch, Glow I.V. Vitamin Infused Skin Enhancer, can be seen all over TikTok. It comes with a big promise that it will give the wearer “I’m 100 percent taking my vitamins” skin energy, so I set out to see for myself.

The Benefits

The skin enhancer comes in 10 different shades of glowy goodness packed with vitamins to give skin an instant and long-term glow. The reflective, healthy-looking glow is thanks, in part, to 3-D light reflectors suspended in a whole new formula. The product was inspired by Kosas’ founder Sheena Zadeh-Daly’s love for a vitamin drip. She noticed that after catching up on the vitamins her body needed, not only did she feel better, but also her skin was healthy and glowing. Sheena set out to bottle that lit-from-within glow. The pearlescent liquid adds an instant shimmer to your skin while also nourishing it with vitamins. VitaGlow-D hydrates, glutathione visibly brightens and algae extracts nourish so you can get skin care and makeup in one hit.

Although it looked rather intense coming out of the pump—I used the shade Spark—I found that this skin enhancer did give me a subtle, healthy-looking glow. I’ve since used it multiple times after nights of five hours of sleep, hoping it would revive me, and it has. After applying it to my cheeks, on top of foundation or skin tint, I felt I looked more well-rested, hydrated and lively. It’s become a constant in my rotation because it enhances the look of a tinted moisturizer for a more dynamic, radiant complexion.

How to Use It:

The liquid is pearlescent and, as some reviewers have noted, quite shimmery. Personally, if I’m going for shimmer, I want to go full out, so I think it has the perfect amount of shine. With that being said, I found it looked best when I applied it on my cheekbones and nose as a highlighter rather than applying it all over my face. You can play with it and use it however it works for you—that’s the fun of it, it’s a little like finger painting with glitter glue. Mix it with your moisturizer, apply it over foundation or combine a few pumps with your body lotion—you can add shimmer anywhere you want with this handy pump.
