The most viewed videos included those surrounding lipstick application, creating a smokey eye and perfecting winged eyeliner. Smokey eye bridal looks was the most viewed makeup tutorial topic overall.

When it comes to lip tutorials, the most commonly viewed topics include red lips, liquid lipstick, ombre lips, bold lips, bigger lips and Korean gradient lips. Sometimes rather than pinpointing a specific aspect of makeup application, people are simply on the hunt for a certain look. The most viewed makeup looks include smokey eyes bridal look, glam look, egirl look, 90s look and grunge look.

Another trendy topic is tutorials that compare makeup from different years. The top 10 most viewed tutorial videos included both “2016 Makeup Trends VS 2021 makeup trends” and “Makeup Trends from 1990 vs 2020.”
