The In-Office Treatment That’s Helping One Influencer Get Her Pre-Baby Body Back

This treatment was of particular interest to model and influencer Mara Martin, who claims she really struggled with the way her body looked after having a baby. “Despite eating healthy, exercising regularly, [and] trying all-the-things, my stomach just never got back to the way it was pre-baby,” she explains. “That’s why I was so excited to try Emsculpt Neo.”

For those unfamiliar with the treatment, Emsculpt Neo is a device that uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM) in combination with radio frequency (RF) to stimulate muscle contractions while also destroying the subcutaneous fat. “Emsculpt Neo gives an average of 30 percent loss of fat and 25 percent gain in muscle,” explains Jupiter, FL dermatologist Dr. Shawna Flanagan, adding that the average patient will require at least four treatment sessions about one week apart. “We usually see results within the first month, but the full results are not seen until a few months later,” they said.

Hoping to rebuild her stomach muscles, Martin chose to have Emsculpt Neo performed on her midsection. “​​The procedure was pretty straightforward,” she explains, noting that her technician simply attached the machine to her stomach area and began the treatment. “The great thing about this procedure is that it wasn’t painful and also incorporated a lactic acid release so that despite the intense workout my stomach was getting, I wouldn’t feel sore the next day,” she adds.

After undergoing four treatments over the course of four weeks (which is the recommended treatment plan), Martin says she’s “thrilled with the results.” “So far I’m incredibly happy I gave it a try and would recommend it to anyone who just needs an extra boost,” she says.
