The ‘Calm My Brain’ Supplement Jennie Garth Swears By

Jennie Garth—she’s just like us: Snacks in the car, a go-to water bottle and an off-the-radar “brain supplement” we’ve never heard of.

“I’m a patient of Dr. Amen’s, and through him, I learned my predisposition for way too much thinking based on my SPECT scan and my brain activity,” The 50-year-old Beverly Hills 90210 shared in a recent The Strategist interview that showcase all her favorite things. “The activity in a person’s brain can really tell you a lot about what their struggles are mentally. And so I’ve been working with him and learning a lot about my own brain and thinking patterns. That’s how I got turned on to his products. I don’t know how these work ,specifically, but it just calms my brain. They keep me from having anxiety, overthinking things, and stressing too much. It can be taken as needed, but I take it every morning because I just think, ‘Let me combat this from the get-go.’”

Also making the musts: Her DIY essential-oil spray (she likes doTERRA), which, as she told us earlier this summer is “a staple.”

“One staple I’ve always used is something I actually make in my kitchen and I have forever. It’s a spray mist that I use and it has hyaluronic acid in it, essential oils, some aloe vera, and I use it morning and night. It’s a hydrating mist I really believe in it. I think it really works!”
