Although vitamin C is an eternally reliable skin-care ingredient, I find plenty of the products out there boasting its magical properties to be... well, overrated. But not Sunday Riley C.E.O. Afterglow Brightening Vitamin C Cream. This sunshine-yellow jelly rides that perfect line between too thick and not thick enough with a formula that hydrates instantly and effectively yet feels like nothing once it sinks into the skin. Thanks to that previously mentioned vitamin C, its other refreshing properties kind of go without saying, but I'm going to say them anyway: After a few weeks of consistent (twice daily) use, my skin feels not only plumper than usual but looks brighter, more even-toned, and all-around dewier, especially around my eyes and cheekbones. No more highlighter in my makeup for me, thanks — my skin glows enough on its own now.
