While I hold memories of sunny summer days dearly in my mind, I could do without reminders lingering in my hair. But unfortunately for me, I’ve observed that prolonged exposure to the sun can make my strands look dull and feel brittle — which is why I’ll be slathering on Sachajuan Hair After The Sun all season long.

The creamy treatment is made with hydrators like glycerin and castor oil to help replenish the moisture that’s seemingly stripped away by the heat of the sun. Depending on your hair type, you can use it as a leave-in or apply it like a mask and rinse it away after about 20 minutes. (For my fine strands, I prefer the latter method.)

Either way, the result is noticeably shinier, healthier-looking hair. Thanks to this treatment, the only remnant of my last beach day is a dusting of sand in my tote bag — and that’s exactly the way it should be.
