Ricki Lake Shares Her Impressive Transformation After Years of Struggling With Hair Loss

In late March, we caught up with actress, TV host and documentary filmmaker Ricki Lake where she told us about her hair loss and recovery journey. At the time, she gushed over how Harklinikken products have helped her regrow her hair. It’s National Hair Loss Awareness month, and the star is sharing her mind-blowing hair transformation.

Lake took to Instagram to share before and after photos. The pictures are just over a year apart, December 31, 2019 and January 27, 2021. “For those of you who don’t know or don’t remember my personal journey. These side by sides show the dramatic success I’ve had using Harklinikken products,” writes Lake. She shares that she’s been following the brand’s “simple and easy protocol for over two years. The results speak for themselves.

People often ask Lake what she does to achieve such impressive regrowth. She shares that she uses Harklinikken “shampoo, condition daily and [use] their extract at night.” After a long journey, Lake writes, “I could not be happier with my results and to finally be at peace with my hair loss struggles.”

In March, Lake told us she had tried everything. “I was literally a guinea pig—I was on Propecia, I was getting scalp injections, I was on Rogaine.” However, nothing seemed to help until she tried these products. “When I shaved my head two years ago, I did not think it was ever going to grow back, and now I have a full head of hair. I don’t color my hair anymore, and I don’t stress about it, and I don’t put extensions in, and I don’t really put a lot of heat on it—I mostly let it air dry,” she told us. “It’s been a game-changer for me. Women, we’re so attached to our hair. It’s been quite the journey to come to a place of peace in this area.”
