"The fun part about being blind and doing your makeup is you don't need a mirror, so that makes life easier," jokes Molly Burke. With a wicked sense of humor, it's no wonder the Canadian YouTuber is so beloved by the Internet. She's built a reputation for being candid about her blindness in a lighthearted-yet-empowering way. And for Allure's latest installment of 10-Minute Face, Burke walks us through her makeup routine while dishing out all her "blind-girl beauty hacks."

Burke keeps it simple from start to finish. She preps her skin with a quick rinse of water followed by toner and a light moisturizer. Then she moves on to primer: one pump of Too Faced HangoveRx Primer for the face and a couple of dabs of Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer for the eyes.

Although packaging has become a major selling point for those looking to show off their shelfies, vanity isn't the focus for Burke when it comes to choosing products. "As a blind person, it's not necessarily about what [a product] looks like because I can't see it," she says. "I really focus on texture: how it feels in my fingers, how it feels on my skin, and how it feels and wears throughout the day." Burke will do check-ins throughout the day — touching her forehead to see if it's oily or inspecting her lashes for flaking — and listen to feedback from friends to see if a product is worth keeping in her rotation.

When it comes to foundation, Burke is a fan of Too Faced's Born This Way Matte 24 Hr Foundation. She dots it all over her face, then blends it with a slightly damp Tarte Double Duty Beauty Quickie Blending Sponge. "I find the combination of this matte foundation with this wet sponge is like the perfect way to apply it."

To complete her base, she then dots a bit of Tarte Shape Tape Concealer on any blemishes she can feel. "It's not perfect, but makeup isn't about being perfect; it's about having fun," she adds while applying concealer. She then sets everything in place with the Too Faced Born This Way Setting Powder.

Midway through her routine, it's clear that Burke has a bit of a crush on Too Faced, and the reason why might surprise you. "A lot of their packaging is very tactile, and a lot of the products are very scented," she explains. Although packaging minimalism in beauty is trending and scent continues to divide skin-care and makeup users, for those who have a disability, these elements can still provide the experience of fantasy and escapism that comes from getting dolled up. "It's a way for me to enjoy beauty without seeing it."

Moving on to highlighter, Burke does a couple of quick sweeps of Tarte Shape Tape Glow Powder then follows with Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Box O'Powder Bronzer in Lite. For blush, her go-to at the moment is Kaja Play Bento Trio in Butter Up, and she has a hack for making sure she doesn't go overboard. "For each side of my face, I do the same amount of swipes in the pan. That way I know I have the same amount of product on each side of my face." She likes to sneak in some extra glow with a light dusting of MAC's Hyper Real Glow Palette.

Before getting her eyebrows microbladed, Burke would fill them in with the Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil. Now, her routine just involves a little brushing. "[I] use the end of my old brow product, just the spooley, to brush my eyebrows out before I go in to do my eye makeup," she says.

For the everyday makeup look, Burke favors a nude-colored eye courtesy of Kaja's Bento Bouncy Eyeshadow Trio in Chocolate Dahlia. After she defines her eyes with the shadows, she creates more dimension across her lash line with Benefit's BadGal Bang! 24 Hour Eye Pencil.

Her last steps are all about lips and lashes. For lipstick, Burke prefers a creamy formula like Bite Beauty's Power Move Lip Crayon which is easier to blend. As for lashes, Burke gives them a little lift with the Tarte Cosmetics Lashy & Flashy Eyelash Curler then adds a layer of Lush Cosmetics' Lush Lashes, which is quickly becoming a staple of hers. "I just started using it last week and honestly I really like it," Burke moons.
