It's Memorial Day weekend, which unofficially marks the start of the summer months. And you know who rules over this time of year? Megan Thee Stallion, who coined the term "hot girl summer" in 2019. Now, three years later, she's reminding us that it's still her season by kicking things off with the look of the moment: the soft wave bob.

In a post on her Instagram grid, Meg is posing in jeans and a bandeau top. Her hair is in a soft, wavy bob with blonde highlights, and fans can be seen writing things like, "Love your hair like this," and "This hair is so pretty," in the comments.

She can also be seen in a post from earlier in the weekend with the same look styled half-up and half down on her Instagram grid, which fans were also complimentary of. "THEE HAIR IS GIVINGGGG," writes one commenter.

As for why the soft wavy bob is both a trendy haircut and also one that has staying power, as Elle Turner originally wrote when reporting on the trend, "It's a looser, less structured wave that gives a slightly slept-in texture. It's the hair equivalent of no-makeup makeup — minimally styled but still super natural looking. It's exactly the right amount of relaxed." So there you have it; it's an easy-breezy, best-of-both-worlds kind of situation.
