Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler Complete Long ($599)

Finally hitting the market today, the new Airwrap is in a league of its own when it comes to hair tools. With this improved version, you no longer have to switch the barrel midway through your styling session to curl your hair in the opposite direction (now you just press a button to change rotation). There’s also a brand-new Coanda smoothing dryer attachment that mimics the dryer/round brush combo stylists use in the salon, and it now takes hair from wet to damp even faster than before. A smoothing mode also helps reduce flyaways and frizz around the roots and hairline for that just-left-the-salon look.

“Now, the tool does even more, allowing owners to personalize to suit their styling preferences, personalized for their hair type. Something you thought couldn’t get better, just did,” says Jen Atkin, celebrity hairstylist and global styling ambassador for Dyson.

Drunk Elephant & Chris McMillan Silkamino Mega-Moisturizing Masker ($28)

Launching on June 12, this deep-conditioning mask quenches super dry strands with a moisturizing blend of marula butter, strengthening silk amino acids, sunflower fatty acids and panthenol—there are no silicones, but you still get that soft, silky feel. The formula also contains vanilla fruit extract, which the brand added for its antioxidant and scalp-calming benefits, but it also lends a hint of a sweet, vanilla-y scent.

If your hair is dry, you can use it in place of a traditional rinse-out conditioner after every shampoo—a little goes a long way and it’s best to start at your ends and work up to your roots, leaving it on for just a few minutes max. If you prefer to use it as a weekly treatment, you can slather on a bit more, comb it through and leave it on for up to 30 minutes (just throw your hair towel on let it soak up all the goodness while you tackle some other household tasks).

davines THIS IS A CURL GEL OIL ($30)

Calling all curly girls (and guys): This unique gel-to-oil (you get the soft hold of a gel and the hydration of an oil) delivers the mega moisture and definition that all curls, waves and coils crave. Made with 94.7 percent naturally derived ingredients (almost all are biodegradable, too), the formula also helps shield hair against humidity and frizz, which we could all use come summertime. Squeeze a dollop into your palm and then smooth through damp hair. I like to start mid-lengths to ends and then use the very tiny bit that’s left around my hairline and roots. Then diffuse or style, and voila!

MATRIX Brass Off All-In-One Toning Leave-In Spray ($24)

Designed for dark blondes and light brunettes who lighten their hair with color or bleach, this lightweight spray deposits blue pigment to neutralize orangey, brassy undertones that build up between salon visits (I don’t know about you, but when my hair gets brassy it drives me crazy!). Blue is the opposite of orange on the color wheel, so blue cuts through the brassiness to restore a cooler or more neutral tone.

What’s cool about this new product, too, is that it essentially acts as a leave-in conditioner—it detangles, moisturizes, boosts shine, smooths frizz, and so much more—but with buildable toning benefits. I like to put a towel (an old one I don’t really care about) around my shoulders like they do at the salon, and then spray it onto towel-dried hair, comb it through and then style as usual.

R+Co CASSETTE Curl Defining Masque + Superseed Oil Complex ($39)

I think of this weekly mask as a big, plushy spa robe for curls thanks to its rich, creamy texture that transforms into a “liquid butter” as it coats the hair. So how does it achieve that luscious consistency? The vegan and gluten-free formula is loaded with deep-conditioning mango and avocado butters and chia seed (part of the brand’s Superseed Oil Complex) that lock in hydration and make curls feel soft as ever. 

Rice protein also helps strengthen hair and reduce breakage so curls stay intact and bouncy. Plus, I can’t get enough of the citrusy-green scent, made with notes of Sicilian lemon, eucalyptus and amber.
