Kerry Washington has worn a ton of different hairstyles throughout her career. She's shown us straight styles, fancy updos, and even braids with bangs. We've also seen the star play around with her natural hair in different styles, too, whether she's letting her curls out to breathe or styling them into a chignon. Just one day after her birthday on February 1, Kerry Washington shared an update of what her gorgeous coils look like post-haircut — and trust us when we say those curls are popping!

The Scandal actor shared three different selfies with her six million Instagram fans to show off the haircut. In each and every one of these photos, she is working her angles and giving us a few different views of the freshly-cut coils. Her curls surround her head like a halo with a few pieces falling on her forehead. Though plenty of these coils are well-defined, there's also a lovely amount of frizz, which we love to see. In the caption, the Aquarius thanks hairstylist Linda Valenzuela for her new trim.

In addition to her beautiful coils, Washington looked stunning in the bright red pigment on her lips. She opted for a matte lipstick and paired it with fresh, glowing skin. Her eyebrows are shaped and groomed to perfection.

This haircut is definitely making her curls thrive, and we love to that she was gracious enough to share them with fans. We love seeing the different ways Washington wears her curls, even if she's just letting them do their own thing.
