Kelsea Ballerini Is the Newest COVERGIRL

The talented, effervescent country singer, and NewBeauty favorite, Kelsea Ballerini just announced that she’s the newest COVERGIRL. In a joint Instagram post between herself and the brand, she revealed that being a COVERGIRL has been on her bucket list since she was a little girl. She can now add the title to her long list of accomplishments, including two Grammy nominations, many ACM and CMA wins and making history as the only female country artist with three consecutive number-one singles from a debut album.

In her Instagram caption, she says COVERGIRLS has “always felt approachable to me through every age, phase of life, or occasion. From playing with makeup in middle school to getting ready for some of the biggest stages I’ve been lucky enough to perform on.” She describes the partnership as “a full circle moment.”

She revealed in a statement that she wrote about her dreams of being a COVERGIRL in her journal when she was 14. Ballerini is no stranger to makeup—she describes it as another “creative outlet” for her in addition to music. “I’ve always said if I wasn’t doing music, I would probably be a makeup artist,” she said in the statement.

According to the statement, Ballerini will be the face of a forthcoming collection from COVERGIRL, which will be available this spring. The star will join the brand in a multi-year partnership, so there’s plenty more to come from this dynamic duo.
