Have you noticed that celebrities left, right and centre are all sporting the same hair color? It all started when Gigi Hadid swapped her trademark blonde for an electric copper hue for the Versace autumn/winter 2021 show last year – ever since, the red hair trend has only gathered momentum.

Even if the trend were to fizzle out now, it would have had a good run already – especially since the latest famous face to step out with red hair is Kaia Gerber. The model showed off a new auburn shade at a pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles, which she attended with her boyfriend, Austin Butler.

She's following in the footsteps of fellow model Kendall Jenner, Sydney Sweeney, and Barbie Ferreira, and the new shade looked glossy and gorgeous on Gerber, who likes to experiment with her hair colour. She previously told Vogue that her favourite of the hair colours she's tried is "pink, because [it] was a pipe dream that I always had."

With the redhead gang growing by the day, it's only a matter of time before we're all opting for a touch of red in our own hair, whether that's via an at-home gloss to impart a semi-permanent tint or full-blown red created in the salon.
