 Jennifer Lopez is, to put it lightly, a trend setter: Her skincare tips are inspiring, her crossover between the music and film worlds is one-of-a-kind, and she makes a decent case for texting your ex. And now, Lopez's nails have become a source of inspiration for us all. 

The "On the Floor" singer debuted her newest nail look at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 22. Designed by celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik, who also frequently does the nails of Selena Gomez, Anne Hathaway, and Dove Cameron, this dressed-up French manicure features nude tips with gold lining on the edges.

The most interesting part of this whole manicure, however, is the shape of the nails. At first glance, they might look like ovals — but when you look closely, you'll see that there's clearly a straight edge to her nails, which is softened by lightly rounded edges. This shape falls somewhere between an almond shape and a coffin shape, so we're dubbing this a "soft coffin" from now on. 

Bachik describes his creation as a "minimalistic modern mani," as he captioned the photo, explaining his step-by-step process on how to achieve this neutral — yet still glamorous — look. Starting with his Tweezerman Ultimate Nail Care Set to clean and perfect J.Lo's cuticles, he then used The GelBottle Inc's colors Eve and Rose Gold to create the curved design.

The rest of J.Lo's look was obviously stunning from head to toe. During her performance at the awards, she rocked a layered blowout with a middle part, and she wore bold faux lashes to compliment her black and brown eye shadow blend.

We're not the least bit surprised that J.Lo is continuing to disrupt the beauty industry through her manicure game, and we can't help but wonder what's next.
