"Nothing better than a fresh summer cut," wrote hairstylist Chris McMillan on Instagram to accompany a photograph of himself with his longtime client, Jennifer Aniston. Never a truer word was spoken. The hotter months call for hair that feels light and natural — hair that can be worn exactly as is without too much effort.

That's exactly the kind of cut McMillan bestowed upon Aniston when they met last week. To enhance her natural texture, McMillan cut choppy layers into her mid-length hair, resulting in a style that, he said, does the work for her. Then, she can "just wash and wear [her] hair natural for the summer," he explained.
