I grew up watching Vanessa Hudgens on my television alongside my two sisters. Of course, the first movie that comes to mind is no other than High School Musical, but who could forget Spring Breakers or Beastly? Ah, the early aughts… what a time. While Hudgens has played an array of different roles, one thing that usually stays the same is the pin-straight hair she rocks in each movie. Because of that, seeing her with a head full of voluminous curls is a little shocking, but in the best way.

In a two-part video the actor posted to her Instagram stories on March 17th 2022, she can be seen shaking her head from left to right, showing off her natural hair texture. She captioned the first part of the video by saying, "My curly hair always makes me feel like a madman lol" and in the second part, simply "Madness." In my humble (and fully fan-girl) opinion, I think her hair looks absolutely stunning. It's giving off a bohemian beach girl vibe, especially since she's wearing what looks like a black bikini top, a pearl necklace, red french tip nails, and a stack of gold bangle bracelets.

As someone who has thick, frizzy curls that I've been straightening way too often, these videos are just what I needed to see. Hudgens is glowing as she whips her hair back and forth, embracing her curls on what looks like a tropical vacation, judging by her ensemble. It's about to be the weekend, so I just might swap the straightener for an immensely hydrating leave-in conditioner and a light-hold gel and rock my natural waves to brunch tomorrow.
