Gigi Hadid's Hair Is Pretty Darn Close to White Now

Fashion week may be over, but that doesn't mean the fashion shows are. Burberry showed its Autumn/Winter 2023 womenswear collection in Westminster, London on Friday, March 11th, 2022. The house tapped Gigi Hadid to walk the runway, and she did so with a very dramatic hair change. No, she didn't chop her hair into a pixie cut or a bob, but she did swap her usual dirty blonde hue for an almost-white platinum blonde.  

So many questions run through my head when I see someone go this light. How is her scalp feeling? How long did the bleaching process take? Is this a really good wig? Where can I get it? As someone who has had dark brown hair their entire life (with the exception of a few highlights here and there), I'm wondering how long Hadid will want to keep it this hue, given the maintenance. Root touch-ups are going to be a frequent necessity if she wants this exact look. But then again… she could also let her natural darker roots grow in before going back to a richer blonde. Whatever she decides to do, she'll be in the hands of extremely talented professionals who know how to make her look great.

Models changing their hair for the runway is par for the course in the fashion world. Most recently, Kendall Jenner traded in her signature chocolate strands for a coppery red she's wearing beautifully. Actually, both Hadid and Jenner are working their new hair colors. As for me and my house? I don't think a drastic dye job is on the books anytime soon. That said, I'm sending Hadid energies of moisturized strands and bond-building hair masks.
