Gargling with an antiseptic helps kill bacteria and germs, plain and simple. While it’s not officially proven to kill the COVID-19 virus, it does help keep your mouth healthy and clean and reduces the risks of gum infections which can weaken your immune system. Increase Brushing Frequency

“The number-one thing I tell patients looking to make improvements in their oral health care is to clean their teeth after every meal. Most people brush in the morning and at night before bed, which is great, however we consume a lot of things during the day that are detrimental to our teeth. Ideally brushing after lunch is best, but it may not always be possible. At least rinse thoroughly with water until you can brush, or even chewing a sugar-free gum helps clean the food particles out of your teeth.”

“My favorite home care tool beyond simple floss and a toothbrush is a Waterpik, or other similar irrigation devices.
