Every Celebrity Skin Secret From Tonight’s Met Gala

In the lead-up to the glorious annual Met Gala, celebrities and their glam teams focus on perfecting their beauty looks, which starts with skin care prep. The Met Gala, or Met Ball as we love to call it, has become synonymous with iconic red-carpet moments, jaw-dropping fashion statements, and glamorous beauty looks that are talked about for years to come.

With all eyes on the arrivals, it’s important for the chosen few invitees to have glowing, radiant skin. Many stars undergo weeks of preparation, including facials, chemical peels, and laser treatments to ensure that their skin is ready. Serums, moisturizers, and face masks make it to the glam room chair before makeup and hair. Here, a peek behind to scenes to see how our favorite celebs readied their skin for Fashion’s brightest night.

Collins trusted her skin to celebrity facialist The Beauty Sandwich, aka Iván Pol, before she sat in the glam chair with celebrity makeup artist Fiona Stiles for tonight’s look.

Lea Michele @cgonzalezbeauty

The Funny Girl star made sure to get some time under the red LED light with celebrity makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez ahead of her makeup application. “Prep is key! It sets the stage for makeup application,” says Gonzalez. “After applying skin care, I had Lea Michele wear the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask ($380) for 10 minutes to really brighten and have her skin glowing. As if it couldn’t get better, I followed that by having her wear the CurrentBody Skin LED Eye Perfector ($249) to further firm, plump, and brighten the eye area.”

As one of the many Joanna Czech devotees, model Amber Valetta was treated to Czech’s unique facial treatment featuring the LYMA laser. Czech is seeing a handful of attendees and she says each customized facial will incorporate one or more modalities, including various forms of microcurrent, ultrasound, cryotherapy, oxygen infusion, serums as well as masks. Every facial finishes with powerful rejuvenating LED therapy with negative ions.

In addition to getting her tan on, Graham went down the treatment rabbit hole. First to Sandra Lanshin Chiu for accupuncture and gua sha, then off to celebrity facialist Mzia Shiman for extractions, massage and a mask moment. Afterward, she had an off carpet run-in with Karlie Kloss who was also getting her treatments on.

It’s not her first time at the rodeo, so Chopra Jonas knew to hit the gym—New York’s FaceGym. The pre-ball “face workout” helped give her a glow before getting glammed by celebrity makeup artist Sarah Tanno.

Elle Fanning @ellefanning

Fanning took prepping into her own hands by adding her greens to a moisturizing mask for the ultimate wellness moment.

Paris Hilton @parishilton

For Hilton, getting the body ready is key. For the big night, Paris had a detoxifying lymphatic massage with Flavia Lanini. Lanini is known for her Brazilian technique which she used on supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel before fashion shows. 

Ariana DeBose @arianadebose

Debose is doing the thing with a customized Chanel-filled facial with facialist Pol ahead of her return on the Met carpet.
