Has bouncy, curly hair ever looked better than it did on Julia Roberts in the 1990s? With her tumble of wild waves, she was — and still is — the poster girl for big, bodacious curls. Enduring fans of the look include, apparently, Drew Barrymore, who was sporting something similar at New York Fashion Week over the weekend of February 11.  

Showing off her own curly hair as she sat front row at the Christian Siriano Autumn/Winter 2022 show, Barrymore evoked a well-known image of Roberts from the 1990s. In the photo, Roberts is wearing her voluminous, corkscrew curls pushed over to one side, with an oversized grey suit and a (classically '90s) brown-toned nude lip. It was taken as she attended the 47th Annual Golden Globe Awards back in 1990.

Fast forward to now in 2022, and Barrymore has switched grey for a hot-red oversized suit — and paired her own next-level curls with glossy skin and a rose-pink lip. Much like Roberts, Barrymore opted for a deep side-part with most of her slightly disheveled hair pushed in a single direction. From one '90s icon to another.
