I can't recall a single play that happened during the 2022 Super Bowl (sorry, not sorry), but I can give you a complete breakdown of the best beauty looks I saw during the commercial breaks — starting with Doja Cat in that Taco Bell commercial. The 30-second spot titled "Grade Escape" starts off at a clown academy, Clownus Conformus, where Doja Cat and her "schoolmates" eat bland cafeteria food with joyless looks on their faces as they are informed over the intercom that "the ice cream machine is still broken." 

This is when we get our first close-up of the singer's clown makeup, consisting of bright blue eye shadow, a lime green inner corner, Rosy red circles on her cheeks and tip of her nose, a blue teardrop coming down from her right eye and, of course, red lipstick on her pout. Her hair is a natural brown hue, tied into one mid-length braid and some seriously laid edges. Not for long though, as Doja Cat ropes her friends into making a break for it, hopping into a clown car and driving straight through the gated entrance of Clownus Conformus. Once they're off the premises, their clown getups transform into black leather ensembles. This is also when Doja Cat's hair changes from dark brown to a rich, grape-purple blowout.

The spot ends with Doja Cat and her clown cohorts parked outside of a Taco Bell, drinking a lime green Baja Blast on the hood of her car. The singer's leather two-piece outfit and purple hair match the fast-food franchise's logo. A total coincidence? I think not! It was 100 percent intentional and a detail that maybe not everyone caught, but for a beauty (and Taco Bell) lover like myself, it caught my eye. 

Now if, you'll excuse me, I'll be throwing on a purple wig and heading to my nearest Taco Bell for a Crunchwrap Supreme and my own Baja Blast.
