Since the 1990s, makeup artist and beauty entrepreneur Bobbi Brown has been sharing all her tried-and-true tips on how to achieve natural-looking makeup. Of course, between the time she founded Bobbi Brown Cosmetics (which is now owned by the Estée Lauder Companies) in 1991 and Jones Road in 2020, the landscape in which beauty tips and tricks are exchanged has shifted tremendously — we're looking at you, social media. That being said, Brown is now bringing her makeup words of wisdom to TikTok. Specifically, some sage words about nose contouring. 

Just like the makeup brands she founded, Brown's TikToks have resonated with makeup enthusiasts everywhere, especially the one that she posted on January 11. The video was in response to a user's comment by the name of @peaceforourworld, which reads, "contouring my nose has always been a struggle. Please help! I love all your products n love that your here."

Brown's 29-second video response to the TikTok user was simple: there's absolutely no need to contour your nose. "Why would you want to contour your nose? I think your natural face is the most beautiful face," she said. Brown also let TikTok users in on the fact that her mom even offered her a nose job when she was younger. "Clearly I didn't get it," she proudly admitted.

After sharing her short anecdote from her childhood, Brown ends the video with a statement on her approach to beauty. "I want everyone to embrace who you are and use makeup to just make you feel better about yourself. Just give yourself a glow. Stop contouring your nose. You don't need it," she exclaims. 

Brown's comments section was flooded with accolades on her anti-contouring stance. TikTok user Bre DeShon applauded Brown for her wonderful makeup wisdom by leaving the following comment on her video: "You are an icon! You were one of the ONLY beauty brands who made makeup in my shade when I was a teen. Thank you for always being inclusive."

The positive accolades towards Brown's video even extend beyond her comments section. Several TikTokers have created stitches in response to her video, including TikTok content creator Liv Schreiber. Schreiber made a video (that you can see right here) echoing Brown's sage advice with the caption, "Reminder: you don't need a small TikTok nose. You are perfect the way you are. Bobbi taught me this!!"
